We are passionate about nutrition and bringing it to the nation of Myanmar. According to the World Bank, approximately half of the population of Myanmar are living on or below the poverty line. As a result, we are witnessing a food crisis and a dramatic increase in rates of childhood malnutrition. Nutri Nation is passionate about nutrition and bringing it to the nation of Myanmar.
Our Vision
Our vision is to combine the nutritional benefits of microgreens for reducing malnutrition by growing and manufacturing a microgreen powder that will be distributed to underprivileged communities and peri-urban areas as a nutrition boost to the diet of vulnerable families.
As urban populations increase and rural areas are continuously stressed by water shortage, soil erosion, and climate change, it is important to develop practical urban farming techniques to feed urban populations, particularly with nutritious, less water-intensive, non-soil-depleting, and quick-growing crops to reduce malnutrition and benefit the environment.
We have been able to create microgreen farms with an average time between planting and harvesting of just 8 days. The microgreens produced from our urban farms are 100% organically grown and produced. We also train our staff to promote women's empowerment, food security, and income generation in their own communities.
